Our co-founder, Christine Russell, did an Instagram Live with Vanessa Bowen recently in prep for her talk on LOVE DAY, February 14 called For The Love Of Money.

We’re going to share a little preview here, by way of some Q&As that Christine and Vanessa shared, in a bit of a rapid fire, fireside chat vibe—but you have to tune into the full live and watch, when you have 15-20 minutes to spare.
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when I say the word INVEST?
“I thought my thoughts would go to money, but it went to myself. If we don’t have a full cup, we can’t invest in this world. As women, and for me, especially as a new mom, I realize even more, the importance of investing in ourselves.”
Why did you choose the topic of our talk (FEB 14)?
“What I really want to focus on in terms of investment is our number one investment —our relationship with money. If we don’t feel confident in ourselves that we have a seat at the table when it comes to money, we don’t actually create the wealth that we deserve to create. A relationship with money is the longest relationship you’re going to have in your life.”
“Who we are with money, dictates HOW we are with money.”
If you could share one thing on our relationship with money, what would that be?
“Our relationship with money today is rooted in how we learned about money as that 7-year-old, and how we were conditioned as a child. Consider this: How was I introduced to money as a child and how does that reflect how I am with money today?”
What is the most powerful way a woman can elevate another woman?
“Pour into them. Tell them how amazing they are. Sometimes we need someone to amplify us because we may not always feel worthy to amplify ourselves. It can simply be a DM!”
What’s one gem you want every woman to know?
“You are a luxury item — in your relationships, in your friendships, in your pricing, everything. You are a luxury item.”
